She floats!!! This is the first time we've had a successful launching since purchasing over a year ago. Just about to head out of Farragut Park on Pend O'Reille Lake.

Here's a view from the cockpit while getting underway. This is a bit of a change from my last boat (an 18 foot runabout):

It's great up there! You even get the occasional view of mountain goats if you know where to look.

That's awesome, you don't expect that kind of view where larger boats, boat from. Looks like the Adirondacks in a way.

Right there where the second picture was taking: You're looking at Packsaddle Mountain, which, at 6405 MSL, is over 4300 feet above the lake. Then, where we're sitting, the lake is about 850 feet deep! It goes over 1000 feet deep about a mile ahead of us.

I was just in McCall last week, my nieces wedding, It was good to be home; I miss the mountains, lakes, and rivers....
Not the quiet sleepy town anymore however...
