Going through the boat this afternoon and it appears that the shower sump float switch has quit working. Just wondering if there's a "better" switch (solidstate?) that I could use as a replacement? Current switch is a Rule-A-Matic Plus with a 20 amp rating.

I went with this one. Has an electronic float switch, when the water gets so high, it closes the contacts of the connection and be the pump

My Rule float just died and I replaced with the same. I also have the newer box (98B) ready to go but I haven't installed that yet. The Rule float says on the box that it's good for 1 million cycles. I must have hit 1,000,001

There's the Whale Gulper. I thought about one for mine, but decided to just fix the check valve and pump instead.
Maybe next time I have problems with it.

I just replaced the original Rule box last weekend with the 98B. The old box cracked where the fittings come in and the new 98B was an easy swap out.
