I just bought a 2008 175 Sport with 39 hours on it. I was wondering when you would you use the rubber plug in the ski locker? The previous owner said he never used it.

This site is an excellent resource... good job on the search, but ask away, ask away!

Whats the answer? I wouldnt think you would ever want to plug the drain...

Yea, even if you filled it with ice to keep your beer cold, you'd still leave the plug out to drain the water as the ice melted. Oh wait a minute,,, I know what the plug's for,,,,,, when you make a giant batch of Margaritas in the ski locker the plug will be needed right down to the last drop, yep, that's what it's for

The general consensus is no one really knows. Best guess is to plug it when on the water to keep dirty bilge water from intruding into the ski locker then unplug it when on land to allow rain etc to drain. I will just leave it unplugged.
