350 Mag hor.
I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue I have. 2005 350 mag horizon engine ( both engines the same issue) When I start them they turn over 4 or 5 times before starting when cold. If within the same day use you turn the key and they start up like a car. My normal procedure is to power up, listen for fuel relay to pressurize rail and then start. sometimes I have repeated this step twice and they appear to start quicker. Again, this is only cold when not been used for a few days. Dockmates have newer and older 7.4's and 8.1's and they turn the key and they start right up immediately.
Does anyone know what would cause this and am I alone with this issue? Both engines act the same, it drives me crazy!!

Thanks for any feedback

I have a 2007 350 MAG and it starts the same way. Longer cranking time after sitting for a few days.
This topic came up 1-2 months ago and several people reported the same thing that we experience.

It is no concern to me, it falls into the “that’s the way it is” category.

Had an ‘06 260DA with the 350 mag....same exact thing....my Cummins 8.3L diesels start faster.....
