So you got yourself COVID vaccine. Think you can’t get COVID? Think again.

I have my first vaccine booked for tomorrow evening at a local Rexall pharmacy. Astra Zeneca. Same one my wife got last week.

Admiral got the J&J Friday. Spent Saturday in bed with every known side effect. Better Sunday and pretty much back to normal now. I have my second Maderna dose on Friday. Just in time for a friends Kentucky Derby party. :)

Tuesday for my second shot of Moderna.... and I am the oldest of my family... wife kids have been fully vaccinated for weeks... I guess the toughest go last and I am okay with that

Ignorance is the innocent lack of knowledge. Stupidity is having the knowledge and knowingly making the wrong decision.

Just sayin...

Being ignorant is also insulting the 90% of the population that are going to get the vaccine, with full knowledge of all of the factors, and calling them "stupid".

I will say it again, I cannot understand your motivation for continuing this theme. We understand what you think, and we don't care. We are using the thread you started to talk about what is happening with this virus, not to agree with your antivax conspiracy BS. Maybe that is what is bugging you?

@Creekwood have you asked yourself why they are pushing the vaccine so hard? If it's really that deadly and needed, wouldn't people be lining up to get it?

It's all over electronic billboards here, get your covid vaccine today!

I hope and pray there aren't serious long term side effects. The hospitals will not be able to treat everyone if there are...

The thing that drives me nuts is if the vaccine works and the CDC says it works....why are those vaccinated still wearing masks ?

It is necessary to stop the uncontrolled spread of the virus. Vaccinated people act like a firewall. Vaccines have been around a long time and are generally safe. It's all about risk vs reward.

There is the $64,000 question. Tucker asked to Fauci and he didn't, and wont, answer it. I think it's all about using "public health" to force compliance. If vaccinated people where able to forego the mask, they wouldn't be controlled any longer. Probably has something to do with the inability to determine who is and who is not vaccinated -- so everyone wear the mask.

I was at a meeting at our police training academy earlier in the week. The last 6 of these in different locations around town they required masks.

But this week, since most were vaccinated - no masks. Not even for the unvaccinated. I overheard two ladies discussing how they felt they had superpowers now that they had received both jabs...

What are the death rates for those under 70 years old? Quite minimal IIRC... seems like a lot of theater...

Yeah and who gives a shit about anyone older than 70 right? I am 58. I will be 70 in 12 years. I owned my boat for as long as that. I also plan to be around and having fun for many years after 70. So maybe you should look around and think about whether a "don't give a shit" attitude for the "elderly" that are at risk is a good idea.

Its really simple why vaccines are being pushed. This illness has killed vastly more people than cancer or any other illness in recent periods. And it is mutating rapidly. The current variants are resulting in more hospitalizations than the first. And no one wants to gamble on how deadly or rapidly spreading the next variants will be. The entire globe needs to knock this down as soon as possible. And rapidly developed vaccines is the way to have it happen, unless you have a better idea.

Not because of US politics, not because of some anti-freedom conspiracy. This is a global evolving pandemic. Its really that simple.

Petty much everyone over 70 should be vaccinated by now (talking the US now). So they are protected. Time to move on with life, or what's left of it if your 70+. :)

The mutations are just a scare tactic. Viruses mutate. This one has been mutating since day one. Yet, now we should be "very scared" of the mutations. Come on man.

And it all begs the question. Assuming you're right -- and the vaccine will knock down the virus, why do vaccinated people need to continue to wear masks and such? Why won't Pope Fauci answer that question directly?

Wow. Where did I say who doesn't give a shit about those over 70 @Creekwood.

Last I saw, I wasn't the average age of a covid death 78? What's the average age of death in the US?

All I'm saying is, for over a year we're being told DAILY, we're in a PANDEMIC. Where is the sharp increases in total deaths in 2020 vs 2019 validating this?

BS. Highly DOUBT the official numbers of deaths. Dying FROM something vs. WITH something are two entirely different things.

This is just a BAD case of another FLU virus we have to learn to deal with.

Otherwise explain how the US, which normally sees >30,000,000 cases of regular ol' flu has only diagnosed ~1300 cases this year. Not ambitious enough to research elsewhere, but would expect similar results.

This you're 110% correct on.

Again, if people were dropping dead in the streets, I'm sure people would be LINED UP to get the vaccine. Turn off the MSM, head to small town America - they aren't losing sleep over covid...

CONTROL, CONTROL, CONTROL

Gotta keeps the sheep in line.

The businesses around here are. Next to none are using the official "government language" instead simply stating "mask required". Mask mandates therefore might as well be repealed as storeowners are taking it into their own (misguided) hands.
