Under the aft sofa I have mounted a blue led stripe and I have also replaced the festoon light bulb to blue led lights.

Hah. Quite the opposite in my experience. I just like blue...and that's why I put some blue lights in. But it's really bad for bugs. So much so that I rarely turn my blue lights on anymore :(

I put in a couple of red LED lights to help with fishing at night. I had a VW Beetle with blue instrumentation (standard) and I loved them, but they didn't do anything for night vision.

Very nice. Mind sharing how you wired in the cabin strip lighting? Where did you mount the switch?

I connected the cabin strip lightning to the wire for CO monitor. The strip have an remote control so that’s how I can light it up.
You can se the wire if you loosen the air condition panel.

I was in Amsterdam in March. I thought they were red........
Probably changed from blue to red so the pungent less bugs........

I just finished changing my entire boat to LED. Much less energy usage on batteries. It is also much brighter. I stayed with all white, though. We have enough issues with bugs. I don't need to draw more. Only thing that is colored is under the swim deck. We made it purple. I did have one issue. My navigation light is now red and blue instead of red and green. Working that issue out this week.

I recommend getting new CG approved LED fixtures and not replacing bulbs. Cat does not approve bulbs, only fixtures. If one would find themselves in an accident at night, like some we have discussed recently, the investigators will find and blame the owner for not having CG approved lighting.

The liability risk is not worth just buying new fixtures.
