Thought this was a little different. For us inland boaters it give us a better prospective of the tides.
On top of that the pictures are pretty neat.

Just click on the picture when it comes up to see the difference. Wow!

The pictures are of low tide.
When you click on each picture, it shows you what it is like at high tide.

That was really great! I recognized many of those places. Would love to see one of the Bay of Fundy, it's phenomenal to see, biggest tide in the world about 60'! Thanks for posting!

LOL, That's why I said interesting pic, couldn't see any movement at all:) Bit like watching cricket:)

When we saw it for real it was over two days, one day when the tide was out, the next day when it was in because it took quite awhile:) It was also interesting to see the length of the lines they used, when you have a 50' rising tide you need a lot of line:)

I can post a pic or two this Summer. On average we see about 25' tides here in Saint John with more further East, into the bay.
Local tourist attraction is the Reversing Falls. St. John River flows out to the bay through a narrow gorge, at low tide. On the bottom are some pretty big rocks that disturb the water flow & the appearance is a water fall.High tide comes around & the bay rises so much & so quickly it actually reverses the river water flow. Pours over the same submerged rocks & appears as a waterfall.................going the other way.
Tides affect the river a good 20 miles up. Even when very gently beached on a sunny day you need to carry a tide table with you. More than a few have been caught until the next high tide comes in.
