Berth=Place to sleep aboard a boat.

It's a pet peeve, but dang there are to many people that don't seem to know the difference. Lol
 
It is also the aft berth, NOT the after berth(birth).
 
Your write Mike too many peeps use the wrong words.

Loose = The prop is loose.
Lose = I do not like to lose.

My favorite chuckle on this site is all the people that use the word "advise" when they are really asking for advice.
