St. John Vacation home rental

Anyone ever rent a vacation home in St. John? I have been to the USVI a few times but always stayed at the Westin. Headed down 1st week in oct. Any recommendations? Thanks.

We have done it twice. Both times through an internet search. Last time we used this site: http://www.caribbeandays.com/st_john/
Both times were fantastic. You will need to rent a four wheel drive jeep for the week if you do the Coral Bay end of the island like we did. We highly recommend it and plan to do it again this winter.

We rented a house in St. Thomas for a week. One of the best vacations we've had. Much more to do in St Thomas but you'll also have more people and tourists to contend with. Some very nice homes can be rented there. PM me and I'll send you some more info.

We have rented the same condo twice at the top of the hill overlooking Cruz Bay. Awesome spot and reasonable. Nothing too elegant but the location is fantastic (walk to the restaurants, crawl home from the bars) and wake up to the view of Cruz Bay in the morning. We have rented a house on St. John before but once we rented a catamaran and could travel all over the area we can't stay on land for long anymore.

www.moorings.com offers power cats and we have had good success with www.sailtmm.com for renting sail cats.

Great place no matter where you are.
