starboard engine cutting off when docking

had this boat 1.5 years...never had a problem before. specifically, when going from idle/neutral ito gear the starboard engine sputters and shuts down. had her serviced 25 hours ago...new filters, racors, etc. alternator? appreciate any input.

I had this problem on a previous boat with the same engines. In my case, the idle was set too low, was that adjusted during the recent service?

to my knowledge idle wasn't tampered with at all at the last service...thanks for they response.

If it stumbles a bit as you say, and then shuts down, I'd troubleshoot for air in the fuel lines. Perhaps injection pump?

First (and easiest) check I'd make first is the Racor to be sure there's no air trapped in there. Just a W.A.G...

How well does the Starboard engine start, hot/cold verses the Port engine? Also what are your low idles set at?

As the tobnpr said... check your lines and filters, make sure something isn't coming loose!

Mine was a low idle issue.Had it bumped up a little and all is fine.
Good luck and check the racors or if you have a primer pump make sure that's closed properly.
