Starboard engine reverse issues…

Hello all, I have a problem with my Starboard 357 MAG Bravo 4V carbureted engine with Bravo 3 Drive with about 180 hrs on it. Reverse does not engage until shifting is almost bottomed out. It does go into reverse but just barely then engages fully at bottom end of shifting. Engine also stalls at times in reverse when bottomed out. Forward is fine. Marina tech made two adjustments to cable but problem persists. Would like to know you’re opinion. Cables worn, cone clutch, or something else. Been watching lots of videos on cable adjustments recently. Boat unfortunately is out of water and winterized. Just planning for the spring. Thanks in advance for your advice..

I would start with a new lower shift cable, go from there

scoflaw… Thank You! Would you recommend replacing throttle cable as well since lower cable will be replaced?
