I spoke to another mechanic about the situation earlier in the week. As John said I could pay someone for two hours of work or spend 6-8 hours trying it myself (reversing the exhaust). The new mechanic said he could probably squeeze me in next Tuesday. I'm going to ask for his expert observation and opinon on the situation. He was concerned about the raw water impeller. He said I could still use the boat but, to keep and eye on things. I will continue to update as things hopefully progress.

I just got the boat back from a mechanic. He took care of a few things ie. zincs, merchathode, winlass and took the boat for a bay test.
He said there were some barnacels in the drive intake and that the boat was running well. He said if you look for problems you will find them and that I should enjoy the boat. At this point I may wait until the winter to reverse the manifolds. For the moment I am going to keep an eye on things.
