Steering went out today !

My steering went out on me today but luckily I was able to coast into my dock and turn the wheel to maneuver but it was hard to steer . The alarm bell sounded. My question is does my boat have power steering ? Is there a steering fluid reservoir to check? Steering pin issue? Anyone have any ideas?
I appreciate any suggestions!

Your boat should have power steering but I couldn't find the owners manual on the SR owners site.

From what you described, you could still steer but you lost the power assistance?

There should be a PS pump with pulley on the engine and it has a fluid reservoir with a cap on top. Then there are fluid lines and a PS cylinder. Do you have PS fluid in the bilge?

The alarm wouldn’t go off for a steering issue.
Did you loose a belt and the alarm was for high temperature?
