I was only able to run my stereo when my switch was in the "both" position, thus draining my starting bank, as well as my house bank. So I ran a dedicated power line from the stereo to the house bank. Problem solved right? Wrong.:smt021

When I switch to either bank 1 OR bank 2, then I have no juice to the stereo. Switch still must be in the "both" position to work.

What am I missing here?

Randy.

Originally, the stereo memory probably (I say probably because we're going back to 1986 - plus who knows what's been done since) would have been hooked up directly to one battery. The main power would have come off a fuse panel. Then it'll work on #1, #2 or Both. Of course, this is assuming the rest of the electrical is hooked up properly.

I would suggest making sure it's hooked up that way. You can skip the memory part if you want.

Both the stereo main power, and switched power are connected directly to the main house bank now.
