Hi all, I'm still on the dry and figured would post this in case I have an opportunity to correct something that isn't really wrong but just well, correctable.

When I raise my drives from the helm, I can do so without problem but when they hit their max up (potentially down but not sure), they squeal in a way that reminds me of the way a power steering pump sounds in a car when you hit the max travel. Is this something that can be adjusted with the trim limit sender? Or, is the sender only involved in the trailer function? OR (final or) is this just normal and I make an effort to not stand on the button for a long period of time when I hear this lovely sound?

As always, feedback is appreciated!

The sound you hear is the fixed displacement pump dumping oil over the relief valve. As soon as the cylinder travel is "dead headed" (either extended or retracted), pressure in the hydraulic system builds very quickly, the relief valve acts as a hydraulic fuse to keep the pump from potentially causing damage to system components. As soon as you hear the squeal, let go of the button. When I tuck the drives in at the end of a weekend, I hold button for a second or two so I know both drive's tilt cylinders are fully retracted.
