Something us drawing the batteries down but I can't figure out what.
I've tried to isolate the culprit without luck.
I have a dual battery system and
- All is Good if I leave the battery Switch in Off. No drain down of the batteries.
Troubleshooting so far, I got 2 new batteries and a new bilge pump (that was my initial suspect but it seems like it was fine)
So I
- I completely isolated the Bilge pump and it works properly and does not drain the connected battery. I have it feeding directly off the 2nd battery (which I completely disconnected from the boat Electric so that system is totally isolated)
However, if i leave the switch for Battery 1 selected
- That battery drains down even with everything shut off and ALL fuses pulled.
It seems there is something pulling batter from somewhere in the electrical harness that is not isolated when I pull the fuses (but it not the bilge pump since that has been isolated.... but the OEM wiring to the bilge is still connected but not to a pump and its fuse has been pulled.
I can't imagine what would still be pulling power
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
