There is no reason a dealer shouldn't be able to repair a fiberglass crack.

However, without a photo it is pretty hard to comment on the cause, the fix, or why you are having trouble repeatedly.

Marine Max must be simply repairing the visible crack in the gelcoat. The structural crack in the fiberglass behind is what apparently needs to be properly repaired at this point. That will most likely require removal of the window and interior trim, etc. and is more than they want to deal with. Its too bad because they will have much more time invested now. Do it once and do it right.

Pictures would definitely help. Also, you could PM RobF300. He is our resident fiberglass expert.

Thomas - I'd appreciate a picture as well - I'll check my boat a little closer.

Cracking means excessive flexing.
Excessive flexing means the laminate ain't strong enough to take the stresses it's subject to.
The dealer's fixing the cosmetics and not solving the underlying problem.

I'm guessing because we have not seen a location, but I'd bet the crack is on the deck cap involves a concave or convex surface and runs under the windshield frame or port. Sea Ray shoots gelcat very thick on convex surfaces and it tends to pool in concave places, both mean thick gelcoat which is prone to stress cracking. MM is probably trying to fix the crack without removing the windshield or port frame and the crack runs under the frame. If I guessed right, it will never stop cracking until the entire crack is ground out and repaired.
