I had a run in with some unwanted debris this weekend and managed to damage one of the props, not badly, but enough to make the OCD in me frustrated. While looking online I have found a new set of 24p 3 blade props from a private seller and have managed to get a very good price on them. I currently have 22p props on there. Any problems, negatives or pluses in swapping them to a 24p?

What are your current numbers for speed and rpm at full throttle. that will tell you a lot about your current configuration 24p will slightly lower your max rpm, may (or may not) change top speed, and will give a poorer hole shot. I have 24p on our boat, but the 350 mag has a few extra horses to turn them with.

I seem to get around 4600 - 4800 rpm and maxing out at around 40mph, maybe a few more depending on conditions. Generally don't run WOT very often, more in the 30 -35mph when my wife will let me!

Hill Marine are recommending a 4 blade prop with a 20p. I have found a 3 blade 24p prop from a private seller that I can get for a steal, but, I'm thinking it may negativily affect overall performance, hole shot as well as WOT, or am I overthinking this way too much?
