Surf Side 3 Marina Lindenhurst N.Y.

Hi Bill - I'm at SS3, also on the River Street side. It's a great place to keep your boat. We've got a 2000 310 Sundancer, Smile & Wave. Stop by and say hello in the Spring...

Hey Bill, I hate to add some discouraging words but,,, When we bought our boat there late in 08' it was wrapped, after sea trials and my survey done we made a deal with the owner(it was brokered by them) they basically pointed to the boat in the slip threw me the keys and said goodbye.didnt ask if i was goin to be ok even though i told them my other boat was smaller with one engine. They showed me nothing on the boat and how it worked. I realize it didnt really belong to them but they got 10% commish on the sale they could of extended themselves a little more just in case i come back one day for a brand new 58 sedan bridge, Just saying i have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth not for the brand but for M M :smt021

On the sad side.I purchased my 30 weekender there Fall 08.They were really a bit rude because i was buying an older boat. They were selling it AS IS.everyone there refered to me as the guy buying the AS IS 300.I realize I wasn't buying a million dollar boat but it would have been nice to have been treated like I was.The salesman never even showed his face after I signed the papers or on the sea trial or delivery.they gave me the boat with no safety gear, the seatrial captain got a few used life vests and some gear for me out of the shop so we could seatrial the boat.if I wouldn't have said wheres the life jackets,we would have seatrialed with no safety gear.As far as the company goes,it really left me with a bad taste.the service dept and captain were very friendly and helpful though.

I don't understand SS3's business practice. i bought a couple of boats from the previous owners and was very satisfied. Now that MM took over the attitude has changed quite a bit. They don't seem to realize the guy that buys a small boat or a used boat is their future customer. Sure the buyer of the 48 or 55 is dropping big bucks, but his next move is either out of boating or to a higher end product. In business you have to take care of all your customers. You never know who is going to move up the chain and buy the next big boat.

In my business we treat every sale the same. we make sure the customer is satisfied. If he's not, we just spend more time until he is.
Our sales are up 18% this year. I wonder how MM is doing
