svr240 - duo prop outdrive wont raise/lower

help - the switch on the console does nothing - last time I lowered the ourdrive - parked the boat on a trailer> all was fine. Now nothing - Its a Volvo 255hp ( gmc ) with a duo prop outdrive - Is there a cutoff switch ? yes the battery switch is on - there is lots of juice - cant get the switch to do anything to raise or lower the unit ? help.........

Well, on a Merc pump, I would try jumping 12V right to the big blue wire on the pump. Not sure about what's used with Volvo. BUT, if you see a big blue wire and a big green wire... well, that's your call. Blue is up, green is down - like the sky and the ground - with Merc.

Maybe get yourself an engine manual?

thanks - I just bought an manual yesterday - will try it - so if i jump the unit and it raises and lowers - then my problem is the switch on the dash ?

Or the wires in between. Maybe a fuse - but again, I'm not familiar with the Volvo set-up.

Oh, also check that the battery cables are clean and tight.
