swim platform ladder help

Hi - this may seem a stupid question but does the hatch to the ladder on the swim platform simply lift up or is there a catch/lever to lift it up ? I have tried to lift the hatch up but seems like it doesn't want to budge.
This is on a sea ray 2005 - 280/315 sundancer.

Depending on the model and/or year, they are usually secured by either a magnet or a rubber "cup/ball" setup. Regardless, just pull up harder.
