Hi
Unfortunately I have those switch pads that seem to get broken for everyone... Buttons on both my pads has stopped working or work sometimes.

What to do? Is there still replacement pads somewhere to be found? Googled around and they seem to be discontinued...

I there a way to convert to rocker switches? Have someone done this without re-wire everything.

Help much appreciated.
/Henrik

you can install standard rockers by running the switched feeds to the main module box in the engine room. pick out the circuit and connect it.

Ok, is everything from both switch pads connected to the module box in the engine room. In the electrical diagrams some switches seems to go to the one in front?

What do you mean by picking out the circuit and connect it. Cut the wire?

No one knows where I might be able to find new pads?

Best

Another question, the pads seems to be impossible to pick apart. Someone who has done that ad fixed the buttons?

Is the problem the pads or the EMI ( may not have that correct). The computer module.

Don't know about the 320, but on the 340 there are two of the modules.

One time I thought I had a bad pad - turned out it was the module in the bilge.

Just a thought,

Mark

Hi
Think its the pads... Some buttons work if i press them hard. Not sure but if the main module is out it feels weird that its a couple of buttons on each pad that stopped working. Is there any way of testing the pads?

/Henrik

The switch pads are still avalible but they come with a black finish, not the wood grain anymore. You might be able to pry off your old veneer and swap it out for the black one. Call SeaRay dealer to order, not cheep think they were around $250US.
I had ordered one but like what Mark said earlier it ended up being something else, returned it to SeaRay for full refund.

Thanks Wilt
Good to know they exist do you know the new serial number? Where i might find them? Im in Sweden and asked about this they got back with $1650 for both!!!!!!! So it seems I need to find them somewhere in the US instead.

Last year I had to replace my port side switch pad. This spring I replaced my starboard side switch pad. I spent close to $300.00 each by ordering them from http://www.pwmarina.com, a Sea Ray dealer in northern Virginia. I had the same symptoms as you. I had to press my anchor down button really hard to get it to work. The bilge blower light would no longer light up. My bilge light and horn were combined, so pressing either one would toggle the light and sound the horn at the same time, etc. I wish they were just simple cheap rocker switches!

not yours but google sea ray for your particular boat and it will have your eim interface
everything is hardwires to it the touch pad is only connected by a data buss to it. Follow the numbers to pick off whatever circuit you need.

Thanks
I have to decide if to replace with new pads or start cutting wires and installing rocker switches.

Would rather have rocker switches but it will involve some work and its not going to be original once you decide to go bigger. :)

Going to check out prices in the US first for $1.650 is ridiculous.

just give me 6 feet of rope and a 10 foot drop for the inventer of this nonsense
I would rather have "better" sometimes than "original"
Remember before cutting think TWICE. use cardboard or draw it on paper first.
build a carbboard dash and install the switches where you think you might want them to be.
All kinds of possabilities exist if you take your time and think about what you want to do.
aluminum, wood laminate, plexi and paint, plexi and wood grain contact material, etc.
