The synchronizer on my 1987 340 EC is not getting input from the port engine. What is the usual culprit?

if it is a Glendenning sync, probably it is the flex shaft connector to the motor crankshaft. I have sheared 2 or 3 in the past on mine. Call Glendenning for parts or visit their website. Easy fix.
