I just installed 2 new tachs (OEM from Searay) on my 2002 280 Sundancer. The back of the tachs had a dial which pointed to different setting. The back was stamped
P=pulse, C= cyl ( I assume this means cylinder). They came out of the box marked 6P. I re-set it to C6, P3 because I have Mecruiser V6 MPIs. Was this the setting to choose? Other selections on the back had indicators such as C8, and P2 which did not seem appropriate for my boat. I know from my previous boat that they will not be accurate if they are not set correctly.
