Here are some crappy cell shots of the weekend's festivities. More to come when I get my *GASP* film developed from my SLR
Weekend started with a Buckeye Tailgate/viewing party at our homeport
Amazingly we got 5 slips on the public docks at PIB so we moved the party there Sunday. We were greeted by TBDBITL
Tallships were showing up all day, giving tours and preparing for the Labor day Battle
At dusk the unmistakable sound of The Best Damn Band in the Land started booming through downtown Put in Bay
They marched through down town and held a twilight concert under the Monument
Next was probably the best fireworks show I have ever seen. We were sitting 300 yards from the fireworks barge.
Back to the boats to put the kids to bed and have some adult time to "prepare" for battle in the morning
Time for battle. My radar had a seizure when it picked up the mass of boats. reports of over 2000 pleasure craft
It was a unique, once in a lifetime weekend, that will not be forgotten. Again I apologize for the crappy cell shots. I will upload more once I get my pictures developed... speaking of, who the hell still actually develops film anymore. All the mom and pop places are gone...
