One of the knobs that holds my bow hatch in the open position was damaged when I bought my boat. The threads on the knob were messed up. Last summer I took a tap and die set to the marina and chased the threads on the knob. It worked fine for the rest of the year.
Last weekend, I opened the hatch, and tried to tighten the knob. It would not budge in either direction. I have no idea what changed.
I just called Taylor Made and spoke with a very nice lady who said that she will be sending me 2 new knobs and 2 new "collars" on Monday. No charge. I never would have guessed that they would send anything free of charge, particularly in today's economy.
If your hatch knobs are messed up, give them a call.
Thanks Taylor Made!!! :smt038
