Fired up both today. No problem firing..... One potential issue ...
the port engine temp gauge went up to about 180, then down to 165 or so (when the thermostat opened I assume).... She just kept cycling from 165 to about 180..... This is similar to last year, but I don't remember it going to 180.
The Stbd engine went to 170 or so and went up a bit, and back down.
Is it worth changing the sender, or just keep an eye on it.

A side note, both risers are not hot.... Water flowing from exhaust... New raw water impellars.
Hopefully no issues.... Please comment!!!!!

Check temps with temp gun at sensor near t-stat housing. Your gauges could just be off. Did you change t-stats?

Running on muffs or in the water. If the risers aren't hot you have good flow. Check with a temp gun and Keep an eye on it, if it doesn't settle down I would lean toward the thermostat.

New 160 thermostats so I would expect 170-175.
Running on muffs
TIA

Yes - mine sits 170-175 pretty steady.

I wouldn't worry too much about this with it running on muffs, you just don't get the same water flow as when it is in the water. Check it after it's in the water - meanwhile recheck all your hoses, could be sucking some air. Also, I am assuming impeller is good on that motor? If there is an issue it will manifest itself once you really run it - get it in the water and put a temp gun on it.

Thanks for the support (lol).... both impellers are new this year.... fully serviced drives...
I kinda think that gauge was a bit different than the stbd one last year as well... I just didn't remember it going to 180 +/-

I ran it today and had a IR gun..... it read about 158 consistently, never went over 160....The gauge read approximately 180 +/-
I shot the red dot to the sender, that was the hottest spot I could fine...... I think I am okay......

I went to marina today to see if my dock was in. I looked for your boat. I would say your good. Gauges can suck. . Excuse my language.

She is in my driveway. Lol.
Not for long though.
Are you in storage at the marina?

No. I'm also in my driveway. I like to do my own work. I'm very OCD when it comes to my boat. You should see how clean my bilge is. Looks brand new. Went by today to see if my dock was in so I could make a call to see if it was possible to go in this week/weekend.

why did you move? Were you on the smaller side of C? The rt side is double slips like where you are now. Although you have a sweet spot. I wish I could get on the end.
