The only unbreakable Mercruiser part?

It never fails.....every year when I remove the outdrive, I forget to remove the speedometer pitot.

I'm pulling and tugging on the drive before I remember that its still attached. It's been bent and twisted every which way over the last few years but refuses to break!

If only everything else was this strong and durable, boat maintenance would be so much cheaper!!

Lol, I just went through this same process 1 month ago. That little hose really did prevent the 200 lb outdrive from detaching from the stern! The 2nd drive I was gentler with

Imagine putting that much force on the oil reservoir hose. I went to scrub it with a brush in the water and broke the 90 degree plastic barb off. I think that example is the other extreme.
