Thermostat

I have mercruiser 5.7 l 1996 and wen i run nit its warming up , Wat kind of thermostat i have to install .in the book says 160 degrees or 140 degrees but no said exactly Wat kind ....????????????????? :smt100

I'm fairly certina they are all the same but finding the temp is the trick.in mine the only difference between the auto and marine is the collar that fits under the thermostat to hold it in place.Yours might not have one like that.

That being said, any marine store has them.west marine etc etc.
