This is going to get good

Gerrald;

I was there 4 years ago. My election decision was easy. anyone in office did not get my vote. the same will go this time around. Local Distric offices all the way up to congressional seats. If you're in office today you don't get my vote in November....Agian!!!

Oddly enough; in my circles I've been the doom sayer waiting for the next shoe to drop now for about 6 months. I just hope that I have a skill thats in demand as this country goes head long into the 2nd Great Depression.

Mark My words the long ride down this coal shaft ain't over yet.

I will not be such a doomsayer. I think the economy just has a few more months of a bad economy before it levels out for a while, but it will be back within a year. Ill check back here on Oct 1, 2009:thumbsup:

However, I am a cockeyed optimist.

My feeling is that there is going to be more and more European and other foreign companies taking advantage of doing business in the USA...bargain prices now to invest here-think about it. I have noticed in the last year, a very large increase in, for example, how many foreign companies have been coming here for trade shows, branding, marketing and other business ventures.

I have heard the same from some other industries I work with. And one of the best things is that a lot of it is intangibles. It is money spent here without ownership of what was spent for.

Oh hell no, it has just barely begun. The greedmongers have now firmly drawn the line between the haves and the have-nots prematurely establishing the two-tiered society that has been brewing for decades now. They should have been more careful while they were bleeding out the middle and lower class. Even a vampire knows if you suck too much blood your prey will perish.

Now they have to apply the tourniquet and pray that the the lower class does not suffer badly enough to revolt. Hopefully the confinement camps are large and plentiful enough, and the security fences around their mansions are tall enough. :smt043

I agree with you on this part, Bill. Next week I close the sale of a building to a manufacturer from India. From what I'm seeing, my experience is not all that unusual.

Will it be operated by "illegal Aliens?" Wouldn't that be a hoot? Instead of a manufacturing job exported to India. An Indian buys a plant in the USA and employees all green card workers from south of the border, managed by H1B vista holders

Quite a bunch from the Scandanavian companies in particular for some reason lately too.

The value of the dollar I think is making us attractive in other ways that arent usually measured. Thus why I rarely listen to economics. I find they are too old fashioned with the way they measure our economy in some ways.

I smell irony! lol...that would be interestingly funny, and a great idea for a sitcom.

And all the tax-free money is funneled via Cayman to an ex-hedge fund manager screwing the country using the latest upper-tier rich-get-richer method and at the expense of the lower 99%.

Is that globalization?

I think I may know six-pack Bubba, it is sad people cannot live within their means. It has taken me a lifetime just to own a 26' Sea Ray and I am proud of it.

I hear that. I can't count the amount of people I know that have overextended themselves and want to be bailed out of the situation that they created.
Between them and all the ones I see on a daily basis that more or less live entirely off of the state ( our tax dollars) it's enough to make me want to smack people.

I recently turned in a person faking a back injury and collecting around a grand a month for SSI.

Oh yea, well Joe Biden says that I not only have a right to renegotiate my interest rate, but my principle too. My first offer is to cut my principle to half. I figure I'll start the negotiation asking for as much as I can.
