So Project boat 1979 225 Searay Express Cruiser?? Not really sure, but Im guessing based off pictures. Anyways, tearing it all apart and im running into A LOT of thru-hull fittings.

Starting with the Chrome fill caps, one on the bow (water tank) and then I have two at STBD Midships. The after one is Fuel but the middle one is corroded out and had a 2"(?) corregated hose attached to it that was about 4" long. It was located in the head behind the cabinetry. no idea where it goes or what it was for. I assumed for the head but it was just a portable toilet in there. and there is no sink. No idea.

Next is the drainage. Under the sink on PORT side cabin, I have two fittings, one is 3/4" and one is 1 1/8". 3/4" is hooked to the sink drain (makes sense) but the other is just attached to a plastic see through hose. running no where. This is at or below waterline.

Next is the bilge pumps. STBD side I have a 3/4" in the head right next to that odd fill fitting. There is a hole in the floor with some corregated 2" piping in there that cuts through the floor and comes out right at the cabin entrance. Im assuming this was to fish the 3/4" bilge drain through so a pump can sit right in the bilge pocket and pump out that way. What is confusing is about 8" aft to that is another 3/4" overboard fitting but on the other side of the console (so just aft of the console outside the cabin). No idea what that was for. Has a small piece of corregated hose on it. Thats it.

And finally....how do you replace the engine room bilge hose? that thing is in the STBD AFT corner of the boat and unless if you are a contortionist, how do you replace it!!??

oh...where does the chain locker drain to?

Thanks in advance everyone and if you would like pictures please let me know. Im at work right now and this is really bugging me!

Chain lockers drain to the outside of the bow through a hole in the bottom of the locker. Sometimes in tight engine rooms you need to remove major parts and even an engine to replace components that have failed.

If you can locate a copy of the original owners manual ( internet search?? )it may offer some help identifing some of the thru holes in question.

Good deal, Thanks everyone. Someone sent me a 1980 manual, Im thinking that the previous owner may have just punched a few extra holes for things like live-wells and whatnot.
