Anyone with a toddler under 3, and owns a 270da, 280, or 290 with the front V Berth, Convertible Dinette, and Mid cabin.......What's your sleeping arrangement when you do an overnight with your little one? We have an 18 month old who will be almost 2 in the crucial summer cruising months of July to September, and we're trying to plan ahead for if we bring her for an overnight. She will be too old to put her somewhere we trust she wont move, and too young to trust her to move hah

We had a 270 back when our son was that age and put a pack n play in the cockpit during the day with the rear seat folded up. At night and for naps we had him sleep in the mid berth, I think we tried a "baby gate" to keep him contained. Angie and Jordan 1.jpg Jordan and Cole 2001.jpg

I don't think I have photos but we also used a pack-n-play. When I had a 340 it would fit perfectly in the main walkway in the cabin. It was a PITA to walk around but it kept the little guy safe and he slept well.

When they got older they all went to the midcabin. Video baby monitors are your friend :)

We have a 270da, and unfortunately the walkway is a little too narrow to fit. The dinette would make a perfect little kid bed, if there was a way to build some kind of rails around it that could easily be put up and down, but that seems like a total pain in the butt lol

If you left the dinette in "bed mode" couldn't you fit a pack-n-play on the bed?

Get one of these little pools for day time entertainment ….. worth every penny rain or shine…. This was a rainy day

sleeping …we just throw the grandkids in the aft with pillows…. Grandkids are rentals … shouldn’t need to be complicated :)

Raised 2 kids on a 268. Son from 4 months old. When he reached toddler age I put him in the aft cabin against the wall and I slept on the opening side, he wasn’t getting out of the aft cabin without crawling over me.
Daughter was 2 years older, slept in the v bunk with wife

Our 98 290 had the mid cabin with the door so we found a pack and play that was short enough to fit on the bed platform (once we pulled the mattress out). I’ll try and find a link or look at the brand later on. It’s really portable so it’s good for non-boating too

My wife would sleep in mid berth with our daughter and I would sleep in the v berth

My biggest issue is daughter is a great sleeper......so long as shes by herself and not disturbed lol. Put her in bed with anyone, and its instant playtime and no sleep will be happening unless shes completely exhausted.

Might have to try a night with her in the Mid Cabin and just put together a baby gate to close off the area from the rest of the cabin so she cant climb out if she moves around during the night

Our daughter always sleeps in the mid berth and has since we started taking her onboard. My wife found a sleeping bag type thing that had rolled edges that kept her from rolling off the bed while she was an infant. My only complaint with the area is she has access to the lights mounted down there so it looks like a club with strobe lights. For in the cockpit we used to remove the rear bench seat and have a pack and play in its spot.
