Silly question for someone.. I have a 175 with a round ski tow on it.
Does anyone have a picute of how the rope should be attached to it?

Thanks in advance!

Just one quick question, do you have a ski rope now? If so it should have the loop that ataches to he ski tow. You pass the rope under the eye and attach it to the lug in the middle if the eye.

Yes the ropes I have, have loops in the end.
If I do what do descride the little figure in the middle of the hock is facing the wrond way and the loop willl slide off. The figure faces back towards the boat.

Here ya go.

The above pic has the finger facing away from the boat. Mine has the fingur bent towards the boat and away for the skis.

Thanks for the feedback. I've tried it that way but it is tricky to put and take off.

Thanks again!

No offense, but your picture is actually not a good way at all. If there is slacking then pulling, the loop could very easily pop off the hook.

The correct way is as Searay Jim said. Loop goes over the top of the ring, then down behind it, out the bottom, then up and into and on the hook/finger. The stress is then mostly a straight pull on the mounting studs.

This is what I used for skiing, tubing, kneeboarding, etc.
Tie about 4 1/2 hitches of your tow rope around the smaller end of the hook.
Easy to connect/disconnect.

If I understand Jim correctly I think the only differences is that he goes down the top and out the bottom where I go up the bottom and out the top. In any event even if the rope did some how slip off of the finger it could not come off.

My "hook" also points towards the transom, but I still put the rope on the same as shown in the pic techmitch posted. That is up under the bottom of the ring and over the finger. It has never come off on me. After a few pulls, the rope will take on a permanent shape which makes it easy to hook up and even less likely to come off.
