First, thank you for the help already so far with this issue. So my ZF transmission needs to be pulled because of the cooler failing, water in transmission, etc. The transmission shop said a rebuild will be about $1200-$1300. They said if the pump is bad then I am better off buying new, but they won't know until they open it up. They said a new transmission would be around 3K. My question is...do I just buy a new transmission to be safe? Or just go with the rebuild if that's all they think is necessary?
