Hi. I have a 1993 250 Express Cruiser with a Bravo II out drive. I purchased an anode kit and it has 2 for the trim cylinders. My trim cylinders do not have any screw holes. There are 4 holes there, but not threaded. I purchased the boat in September and had the boat power washed by the marina when winterized, so I don't know if there were any on there somewhere to begin with. Is this typical for an older Bravo II? Attached is a photo of the trim cylinder.
The boat does have a mercathode system, but I haven't checked to see if it works. Since there is no corrosion on the outdrive, I suppose there were "strap on" anodes attached, or perhaps the mercathode is working. Do I need trim cylinder anodes if the mercathode system is working? I am about to launch the boat in a week or so, so I just want to get all things in order. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
