Trim gage, Mechanic do it or me. Gage has not worked

Dang it. Can not edit title. Gauge.

1991 225 bow rider. Mechanic is going to work on lower unit leaking issue.

The trim gauge. has not worked for a year. I lived without it. They want to replace it and calibrate it for $350.

It looks like a easy thing to do yourself.

If their hands are on your outdrive just let them do it.

For $350 I would do it myself and have a prime rib meal after. For these older boats like ours, it's best to get the Seloc book and do these things ourselves. It;s not a very hard job but it is best to do it when the gimble ring is off. It is hard to get to the bracket bolt(s) and get to the wires.

This is something planned for when I do Bellows again on both boats.
