What kind of side mirror extenders do you use for trailering? do you like them? is there something better? Where did you get them? I'm driving a 2008 GMC Sierra Crew Cab. Thanks. Jerry

My 2004 has the "auto" mirrors. Those are sweet!

I've used the mirrors that strap to the existing mirrors with rubber straps and those seem to be the best bet. There is a newer kind that is adjustable and aerodynamic and looks cool and was less than $30 or so.

I just ordered the tow-n-see off Amazon, we'll see, this is for my 2000 Tundra V8 4.7L 4wd SR5 Access Cab. I've heard mixed reviews on them. But, I'm not ready for the huge armed ones yet. If this doesn't work, I'll go for the strap-ons mentioned in a previous post. I searched the Tundrasolutions.com forum, and this was one of the recommended solutions in the Towing forum there.

Why not just opt for the factory tow mirrors? They become 2x wider when fully extended.

I have a set of these for my 2002 Ford Explorer. Very easy to get the image aligned between the truck's mirror and the towing mirror giving a very wide view of what's behind. Here is a link to the Sierra mirror:

I ordered these for my 2007 Ram 1500 and I like them but they take some getting used to.

My personal opinion is once you use towing mirrors, you won't tow without them.

I put a set of these on my Suburban and love them: http://www.ttt-mirror.com . They are a permanent replacement for the factory mirrors. They are large and do stick out more than the factory mirrors which could be a problem with narrow garage doors.

I just got the mirror extensions for my 91 GMC Suburban from etrailer. Very nice looking
and quite easy to install. These mirrors are real image mirrors. Not the mirrors that
have the "...are closer than appear.." writing on them. It does help when backing up to
have the correct distance imaged in a mirror. They do help with the backing chore and in
keeping track of what is going on in back when tooling down the road.
Now to figure out how to put a decent backup light on the trailer. Maybe on the guide
poles?
