I'm being told there's no where to put a tv in my 240 Sundancer. Anyone been able to do it in a 240?

Put it anywhere it will fit. Are you going to fit a 65" plasma in her. Nope. I had a 17" flat screen in my 2465 Regal. It sat on top of the galley cabinet. It came down underway. It worked fine. The issue is an antenna or cable hookup and that is not really an issue with a little imagination.

It's hard to say what the technology will be in 90 years....will there even be a 240 Sundancer in 2102? :)

Having a bad day. That made me smile. Thanks!

I've got a 25" flat screen in my 250. Two sided mount....Hangs from the ceiling in the cabin or mounts upright to view while topside. Imagine it where you want it, then come up with the solution.

I got tired of watching a 7" screen, so I installed a 13" flat screen on a swivel mount to the microwave cabinet next to the stereo speaker.

This is where mine is on a '07 260, its not the usual little drop down TV, not sure if Sea Ray mounted it or it was done aftermarket. The location serves the purpose 90% of the time.

Good pics. Any more from others? Professional installers of marine equipment have looked at the boat twice and don't see any solutions. They say if you drill to the ceiling (like a flip down you'd find in an SUV), it would go through the boat. They're also saying running the wires would be difficult.

I have had the same question about the lcd display.

I was thinking about removing the mirror and put the tv there. The wire can then pass the anker??

This is EXACTLY what i want to do. I have a 19" above the aft cabin entrance but want to watch it up top if possible. Model # would be great if you have it.

I installed a 19'' LCD+DVD combo onto the mid cabin wall/back side of port lounger.

Put the Glomex antenna on the arch, wired the cable from the port side of arch through the main distribution panel and put the amplifier there, hooked the power and audio cables to the "stereo" in the 12 volt panel of mdp.

Bought a standart size swivel tv leg and enlarged it at a metalshop, therefore can turn it opposite and watch from cockpit to.

That is where I have mine but could not find a swivel long enough to allow it to flip around. Maybe I can find that style you used and modify it?

Looks great. Does it stay put while under way?

I left the original bolt hole in it's place and then welded the extension.

So in normal position tv is bolted to the original hole, and when I want it to watch outside of cabin just unscrew and put the bolt to extended hole which is the furtest point of it.

Oh and yes tv stays in its place while underway, also to not hitting I secure it by zip tieing the on tv mounting bracket to the leg.
