v-6 TO v-8 REPOWER

moving from v-6 ( 4.3 Liter Mercrusier) to Mercrusier 383 in my 290 Amberjack, Looking to find what my current Bravo III gear ratio is, and what would the gear ratio and prop size have been on a V-8 powered 290 Amberjack? Gene Jones

Do your 4.3’s have Bravos or are you switching to them? I thought the 4.3’s we all Alphas. You can put the 383’s on Alphas but that is the max ho they can take.

The 2000 AJ didn't have a 4.3 option so how did your boat end up with 4.3's? Lot's of 4.3's have Bravo III drives but I have no idea why? Twin 4.3's with counter rotating Alphas are a great engine package.
