My '09 230 Sundancer has a PortaPotti and the wife hates it. No surprise, she won't use it.
For next season I gotta have a vacu-flush system installed. What is the best set-up for my boat? Have looked at several but not sure which would be best. Thanks

Might be easier to buy a boat with one already installed unless your model offered that head as an option. Retro fitting one can get complicated given the space you have to work with.

I had a vacuflush installed in our 225WE. It showed my wife that boating could be comfortable, and it was part of what ultimately convinced her to go along with moving up. I figured it was offered from the factory on the European version of the boat, so it should fit, and it did. You’d never know it wasn’t done at the factory. I had it done by an installer who came highly recommended from Dometic, and they did a really nice job. It was expensive, not the sort of project you do thinking you’re going to get your money back in resale. It’s one of the reasons we have held onto the boat after we moved up. PM me if you are interested in the details.

As new install a Raritan electric fresh water flush might br a better choice. A lectra scan or a lectra scan flush and hold would save the space needed for a big holding tank.

What does she not like? We have had only porta potties with macerator on all our boats. And believe me when i say this, read all the vacu flush problem threads on here, then ask yourself if you really want to do this?

I second the electric macerating toilet! I'm on my second boat with the vacuflush systems. When it works it's great when it has problems it's a PITA! My buddy has a newer boat with the electric macerating toilet and zero issues ever.

Yesterday I checked out 2 boats, 1 w/vacumn another w/macerator. Comments here and shop personell at
boat yard agreed a macerator is easier way to go. They don't like working on the vacumn type. I searched
for a complete system and haven't had much luck. Any recommendations?
