Helping a boat neighbor out who has a VG2. The problem started as a clog - which we resolved.
We dismantled the VG2 completely (leaving the tank in the boat), cleaned, installed new bellows and duck bills, and reassembled.
There is a vacuum leak where the dip tube connects to the VG2 tank. The 2 orings are there, as well as the hose clamp, and the dip tube is flush/square against the tank - yet its still leaking at the bottom of that junction.
Searching the internet says the older design VG2 has a known problem with this - but I dont see any info on how to fix, or resolve.
Anyone here have any insight?
