Has anyone had a chance to see both of these boats yet? It is inevitable that the two will be compared since they both carry concealed twin outboards. Beyond that I know little about either boat other than what I have been able to read on-line. The 370 Venture has a lot of appeal for me personally although I probably won't ever own one.

Here is a link to Pursuit's web site if you want to familiarize yourself with this model. http://www.pursuitboats.com/SC365.htm

Love the pursuit (from the pics anyway) the layout and overall size of both the cockpit and cabin are better than the venture.....throw in the Hardtop and its a no brainer. Also, I prefer the Yamaha power - It seems SR will be restricted until merc makes a verado with more than 300hp (maybe they are and I just don't know yet) What is the price difference on the two?

From an exterior styling perspective this is a clean European look for them. However it does look like one hell of a lot of space used for the engine bubble. Most of the Tiara / Pursuits I've been on have the utilitarian feel over the comfort feel. I look forward to seeing one.

CharlieG and I both went through the Pursuit and the 370 at the Boston Boat Show yesterday. I won't speak for Charlie, but I think the Sea Ray is the winner hands down. There is a real mid berth stateroom on the 370 with a galley & Vee berth on par for a 30s size cruiser. I actually think its a better cabin layout than the new 410 that was also at the show. The pursuit cabin layout seems no better than an i/o vee drive equipped boat. I don't know how they did it, but they seem to have squandered all of the space they gained. To top it off the Pursuit is about $50K more (based on show price signs), it really is a no brainer.

The Pursuit is powered by yamahas and the 370 with 300 HP Verados. On both boats engine service is going to be a bear. My guess is that the boat will have to come out of the water for just about every kind of engine work.

We did not get fuel consumption numbers on the pursuit, but were told the 370 at cruising speed will only be burning 16gph total.

Saw both at the NE Boat show. Both myself and a friend of mine give the edge to Sea Ray. The SR mid cabin is huge and well done. The visibility is better on the SR. The cockpit seating is laid out better and is more comfortable on the SR. My major dislike is the SR galley does not have a cook top only a microwave. Our marina does not allow cooking of any kind in the cockpit of a boat at the so the cockpit grill would get limited use. Overall the SR has a better layout and feels like a bigger boat than the Pursuit.

Looks like the Pursuit outboards are too close together... restricting twin drive maneuverability.

Funny I was at the NYC Boat show and saw both. Thought the Pursuit hands down was better. The Pursuit also is sporting Twin Yamahas 4 stroke V8 putting out 700hp in total. The Searay is using Mercury V6 putting out 600 total. I money where no object I take the Pursuit over the Venture. But both are priced ridiculously.
