I will be pulling the boat out in Nov.
Just wanted to get some thoughts.
At idle I am getting a vibration off the port motor in neutral then when engage the transmission it get a little stronger until I take the rpm up to around 1000 rpm then it goes away.

I do have a small ding in that prop. What else do you think it could be and what should I look for?

If the problem is there at idle, the prop is not moving. Thus, it's not the prop. Has anyone been working around your engines? The reason I mention that is I had a mechanic fix one problem (unrelated to vibration) , which then cased my engine to run rough. I traced it to pulled off wire to one of my spark plug wires.. I have no knowledge of diesel engines. But I am sure others who do will chime in!

I had a bit of lobster trap line wrapped between the starboard props that the line cutters didn’t completely get. Lake Powell probably doesn’t have too many lobster buoys so you can probably rule that out.

On a serious note, we had an engine vibration last spring that turned up in our purchase survey. That turned out to be a loose motor mount nut. Our mounts are on rubber isolators, but the engine sits on top of a washer nut and is held down with another washer nut pair on the top so the engine can be leveled. The loose nut allowed the engine to move on the isolator.

Exactly where my vibration came from last season. Plug wire was bumped off
