Victron NMEA 2000 & MFD integration guide

One other thought if you dont have this working just yet...

You might have to make the various batteries viable on the Cerbo.

Go to Settings --> System Setup --> Battery Measurements. Make the various batteries visable.

One thing I realized is that I can add a name here, and I'm thinking this might be why my Axioms didnt show the name when I went to add it. I'm heading to the boat tomorrow, so I may play with this and see what/where it appears.

I have the Victron App working on the Raymarine, but it really doesn't add much and I rarely use it. If you can access the Remote Console (looks like you have that working), you can do everything you need to do. Having the data on the N2K network is much more useful day to day.

GUI Mods is nice as it takes the basic Victron info and does a better job of presenting it in a useful format. However, Victron is coming out with a new UI that will do a lot of this same info display.

Looks interesting however they seem to not display multiple battery banks on the dashboard at the same time. That's my only gripe. That would be nice to quickly open the dashboard and see the state of both of my banks without drilling down..

On the Raymarine, I was able to display all the battery info I needed using the Dashboard app. Basically, it's a 3 x 4 grid where I was able to display all the battery info coming from the shunt/Cerbo via N2K on one page. It's a custom page that I had to build, but I would think Garmin has same. Ill screen shot tomorrow.

This is the manual and lays out pretty much what needs to be done and what can be displayed.

This helped as far as seeing both on the dashboard. Thanks!

These screens still only shows one bank but i'll take it for now.

I'm able to add the nmea data and view both banks. I was just trying to customize the onehelm app to better reflect current state via the victron app on the MFD. The garmin one helm just mirrors whats showing up on the cerbox gx.

All in I should add that the Cerbo GX is a pretty cool piece of tech. Simple to setup and I'm able to make these changes all from my work desk at home via the web and their VRM portal. Pretty impressive!

I think its displaying exactly what it is supposed to. This is the Remote Console with latest GUI Mods. It's only displaying the inverter bank (as far as batteries go). The bottom is temperature and tank monitoring, and I havent seen where this could be modified to show other battery banks.

But its a very useful device. My only complaint is none of the stuff is well marinized/waterproofed, especially the various little plastic connectors

One other thing you can do is update the firmware and program the inverter from the VRM.

Under Device List at the bottom you have these 2 options.

Firmware update is strait forward ,but it will scan everything on the Cerbo and update as necessary.

Remote VE Configure is too. Basically you can download the VE Configure file to your computer, then use the VE Config software to modify it, and then re upload to the inverter. Its been very useful as I try to dial in the correct setting for the LiFePO4 batteries in the inverter pack.

While on the boat, I really like this page from my Axiom. All battery bank displayed. From home the VRM Portal is my go to.

Regardless how you set up the Cerbo…it’s a pretty cool device!

Thats great info. This is what I setup on my TD 50. I have to look deeper to see if garmin allows me better labeling option. They both identify as batter1 even though they are listed in my sensor list as port and starboard. Bottom left is my small victron 250 inverter that runs salon television. However don't mind laying in bed and being able t monitor the state of the batteries.

That’s awesome! I love the 4x4 grid…I was just thinking I’d like to have that option from Raymarine. Limited to 3x4.

On my Raymarine, if I touch and hold on a data block, it comes up with sub menu that allows changing data, or renaming the battery. I would think Garmin would have sane functionality

I think if you touch and hold on one of the data items a config screen will appear - normally one of the menu items is Rename. Heading, track error, speed, and anchor watch are important data items I have on the solon display.
