It’s actual teak and holly wood ply with teak trim.
 
I figured it was Plasteak like I have. Looks great. You'll need to update us after a couple of years. I'd be concerned with upkeep and scratching.

We did the stairs about 4 years ago and they still look great (although a little darker because the oil based varnish darkens over time). The varnish is floor varnish and has aluminum oxide. Scratching is not the issue but denting it is, if you drop tools it will leave a mark. The real key here is 6-10 coats of varnish, that way if it does get damaged it’s just varnish and you make the repair.

most luxury yachts use teak and holly as a sole material so no real worries from me.

I don't have a luxury yacht so the Plasteak works great on mine. lol ;)
