Vinyl sealer and/or protector?

My seats are red/white and get dirty really easily. The lake I live on is really dirty and just stepping onto the seats after getting out of the lake leaves the seat with water stained brown footprints. Everything wipes down really easy now since the boat is still fairly new but I want to keep it that way.

What is a good vinyl protector I can use on the seats to protect against the dirty water as well as the sun?

Have always used a product called 303. It acts like sunscreen for your vinyl. Not sure it will protect against staining. Why not find a way not to step on seats. That is one of my Boat Rules, feel are for the floor, not my seats.

+1 on the 303, I use it on all the vinyl to protect it from the sun... not sure how it will do as a long term stain "replant" though.

I bought a bottle of the 303 today.

No way around stepping on the vinyl. In order to get from the swim platform on the back to the boat, you must step on the upholstered back sundeck area.

Instead of stepping directly on the seat designate a towel for stepping. I wrap a towel around my back bench seats for this purpose. It keeps the wear off of the vinyl and gives a little better traction when stepping in while wet.

The 303 is the trick for the sun. I would place a towel on the seat for people to step on. Make this a habit and they will stay stain free.

I guess great minds think alike! I use towels for everything. Makes clean up or lack of very easy!

Also, I have often flipped the cushion over and have guests step on the hard underside of the cushion. Then, flip back right side once all aboard.

303 is the best in my opinion I use it every time before and after we go out and my seats look brand new, I keep a bottle of the 303 protection and a bottle of 303 upholstery /carpet cleaner on board. The cleaner works wonders...
