Voltage on Gen Set

Been having problems with my gen set since I've got it...but for now it's running again...just had to replace the fuel pump (2nd one in the past 6 months)...but yesterday after I got it running again, I've noticed the volatage at my ac outlet is 105 volts...is that "safe" or should I "tweak" the voltage regular (replaced last month) up to 120?

In the mean time, will running 105 volts hurt anything i.e. air, refer, charger, etc?

As always, apprecaite any help!

I don't know anything about a quicksilver genset, is it a traditional or inverter generator? If it is an inverter, it is possible that it is fine because it could be a modified sine wave. In this case you would need a load, and a true rms voltmeter to know what it was really doing. If it's a traditional generator, you need to run it up closer to 120.

The 120 is a nominal voltage. I would not run any lower then 113-114 on the low end and 126 on the high end. Low voltage is not a great thing. Low voltage on the motors will fatigue them over time and cause premature failure. I am surprised your AC would start at 105, that is far too low. Ideally I would say 121-122 if good.
