IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN TELL ME HOW TO GET ONE OF THESE BESIDES THE SEARAY SITE :smt100 THE BOAT WAS JUST PURCHASED AND AS YOU KNOW IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE ANY ORIGINAL PHOTOS WOULD HELP TOO.

Good luck! I have been trying to find the same for a 1984 260 SRV Weekender. I downloaded the pdf from Sea Ray but I don't know what other manuals would have come with the boat originally. Probably an owner's manual for the Mercruiser engine and the Mercruiser outdrive. I understand I can get those with the serial number of each. If you find a good source let me know

I bought my old 160 BR new in 1988 and it didn't come with the same type of owners manuals my current boat came with.

Welcome and please put all your boat info in your signature line. Also would be nice if you didn't type in all caps!

Hey guys thanx alot. When i get some new info I'll let you know. I do have basic specs and features but no manual. If you here something let me know.

I have a 1978 220 OV with the hardtop. I have a "copied" Sea Ray Owner's manual but nothing original.

I have a 1976 srv220. I wonder how close the deck layout on these two boats would be. I am interested in the tank size and location. Any info you might have would be helpful. If these two are similar I would be more than willing to pay for a copy of the manual.

Thanks

I have a 1980 SRV225 with the hardtop and I have been looking for manuals for the last 8 months or so. If you have any luck, please let me know.

Sounds to me like you're all wishing for something that probably didn't exist. I think what is on the Searay site is pretty much what there was. I don't think you got a lot of manuals in the 70s and 80s.
Searay did a lot of common use of parts among models, but they also seemed to change models mid-year, or maybe had leftover production because I've seen boats that didn't match the documentation.
I think if you want to own a 30 year old boat you really need to get in there and see what you have - even if you do have a manual. You'll find things have been replaced, changed, removed. Enjoy.

There has to be something out there, that Sea Ray included with their boats. Mine is all original and I can't see them selling a boat and just telling the buyer "good luck" with the head, stove, sink, washdown, etc. and not at least telling them how to use everything.

Todd,
I see you have a 1980 model. I have a 1980 260 Weekender and have downloaded an "Owners Manual - Cruisers" from the Searay site, from the Archives section. It does include some information on exactly what you are describe. I didn't look for 1978, but as I recall the information was missing for some of those previous years. Word has it that when the plant in Michigan was closed, the manuals disappeared or were lost. But the 1980 manual should work well for 1978 as well. The manuals however provide only a cursory description and no mechanical details.

Part of my point though, is how useful is a manual on a 30 year old toilet? You say your boat is all original, really? And if the toilet has truly been maintained, somebody knows more about it than the manual will tell you.

But, try to download the manual. It's a PDF file, which is really a photocopy of the original printed manual, so it's a little blurry, but readable. Let us know what you think.

And, Lady Diane, hope this helps your original posting too.

hi

our srv220 overnighter is from 1979, if you interested i can scan our manual and technical informations i have from this boat

kind regards

I just aquired a 1977 sdb 240 sedanbridge, and as I have no prior knowlege with this brand boat. I would greatly appreciate a copy, couldnt be many chages in 2 years. I wll be opening an active post as i will be restoring/rebuilding mine on this site
I had a prior site for my former boat, but running it got the point it kept me from working on my boat. I have a lot of OMC info to share, just did a full build on an OMC 235 3522 ford windsor, coupled to an 85 OMC 800 outdrive.

Is anybody willing to photo copy there manual - 240srv 1977

All the ones I've ever seen are real general and basic stuff. Maybe a dozen pages max. Just a general overview and basic boat stuff. No wiring diagrams etc.

Let me dig mine out and get details and we'll see if anyone still wants copies.

The Merc manuals have way way more info but obviously not about anything but the motor & drives.
