This one has me stumped. First time at boat this year. Got the motors going. Turn the ac units on. After a couple hours, notice the carpet in front of the frig was wet. The longer it went the wetter it got. Put fan on and went to bed. Woke up today. Carpet was dry. Couple hours later carpet is wet again. Earlier my fwd bilge pump bilge high water alarm came on and pumped water out. The only thing I can think of. The ac pump water line has developed a leak. Any one have any idea where those lines run to the front? Called Sea Ray. No help.

This^^^^

Also check that your sump is working.

Thanks guys. Pan is not plugged. Dry as a bone. The water supply line (garden hose) running from the sea water pump to the ac runs thru the in floor storage in the middle of the cabin. That floor is also wet. I turned off that pump and the floor is drying. So I’m pretty sure that’s the issue. Just can’t figure out how it’s getting the carpet wet from the bottom.

The leak is probably near the wet spot. I had my water supply line had a leak where it entered the boat . Carpet was wet just above it.

We replaced the AC water line from the engine room to the V berth AC unit. It was quite the challenge, You will find there is access to do the job. It will take 2 people, one to push thru the areas where access is limited. We had to leave the old line since it was zip tied every foot or so.

That sucks. Where was your leak? Mine is right in front of the fridge. Seems like an odd place.

Ours was not leaking, ours was stopped up with barnacle growth that would not flush, even with acid. It was easier to replace than keep fighting with acid

I’m getting ready to try and fix the leak. But one question. Where in that line going back does the line split off to supply the rear ac unit?

Interesting. For the first time ever I had water in the forward storage spot under the forward berth where the AC outlet exits the boat. The leak was actually the through hull fitting. But it was the sealant on the inside of the fitting, not the fitting. I removed it, cleaned off the old sealant, reapplied some 4200 and retightened it and it’s all good. The leak was really small but that storage bin doesn’t drain so it accumulated.

Thanks for your input. There is some water in the in floor storage. But I believe that’s from the leak in my line going forward. My midship pump is kicking on. And the floor in front of the fridge is getting wet. That’s about 12” higher than the bottom of the storage area. It gets wet when I turn the ac. Dries up when I turn it off. I know I can replace the hose. It’s just where died it Y off to feed the rear ac.

Seldom post here, but this may help someone about mystery water in compartments under cabin floor. Boat is a 1990 350 sundancer. After a trip in somewhat rough water there would be water in these compartments and wet carpet in front of head door. Systematically we resealed port side windows and port holes. No change. Never used shower. Then eliminated that AC systems were cause. Eliminated toilet as cause. Eliminated fresh water tank and all plumbing forward of shower as cause. Now focused on water system. Under head sink are compression tee fittings that were very fragile when touched. Replaced all tee fittings. Remember wet carpet in front of door? These must be the cause. After running a few trips still had the issue. Now looked for all fittings in the fresh water system. There are no tee connections behind refrigerator or in cabinet under galley sink. Removed top step to cabin, it is screwed down thru carpet, and there are the tees for rest of boat. They were leaking and there is a chase to compartments under cabin floor. This model Searay sits fairly level and the way hull is formed at the chine makes a perfect trough for water to run forward to area at head door. We replaced all fittings with Pex tees and compression bands. Problem solved. Water flow still is good and hull is dry!!this post is long but if helps someone___

Thank you!!! This is exactly what I’m thinking. Was hoping to get it confirmed.

Well. Wasn’t the t fittings. But it was in that area under the steps. Both ac’s drain into shower sump. It pumps out from there on the port side. There’s a check valve in line to stop back flow. That check valve was cracked in half. The rear of the frig is right there. So it filled up that compartment and leaked out in front of the fridge. Replace valve, problem solved. Thanks for all the help guys.
