I have had an issue with Port engine 2006 280 Searay Sundancer 4.3 mercs. The WPS sensor fault alarm is going off every minute. No pressure is seen on the guage. I have changed out the sensor but still alarm comes on, there is no issue with water temps at all. Does anyone have any idea. Also I am unable to locate a sensor for the port engine, I am assuming that there is only one sensor and both engines are tied to it. No issue with stbd engine.

Thank you

I ad the same issue figured the alarm would reset itself after the new sensor was installed. I found that I inadvertently installed the wiring plug backwards (yes it will snap right into place backwards). I turned it around and everything was fine.

Those sensors are a pain and clog ALL the time. I suggest replacing it and carrying a spare. Yea at $110.00 or so, they got you!!

I thought or think there is only 1 sensor per motor. They are located on the back of the motor. I know the starboard one is attached or near the steering pump (that's the one that failed on me) but not sure on the port motor. It has to be near the same spot. Just look for the part (if you can get your head back there).

Water pressure sensor 280 Searay (2006) OK we have finally located the other sensor on the port engine. It is behind the engine 6" off the centerline 3" down on the engine, hidden by wiring harness and hydrallic line. Stbd engine easy.
Oil sensors are the port side of each engine down low

Thanks for all the help!
